One of the most common surprises for international buyers in Portugal is "inherited" utility bills or condominium debts.
Imagine getting the keys to your new apartment in Albufeira, only to find the water cut off because of the previous owner's unpaid bills.
We don't let that happen.
Part of our Due Diligence includes requesting "Non-Debt Certificates" for:
- Condominium fees (often in arrears);
- Municipal Property Tax (IMI);
- Utility providers.
